Taming Romeo Book Review & Giveaway (3 Winners!) Ends 5/15

Evie Sanchez is recovering from heartbreak by working at her parents’ Filipino restaurant when in walks Romeo Garcia, the boy she left behind. Only now, he’s a hot movie star surrounded by gorgeous actresses and adoring fans.

Bad boy Romeo Garcia never understood why Evie stood him up at the prom. When he rescues her from a flying coconut in the dumpster, he is determined to dig into her heart for the reason. Their mutual attraction and unresolved feelings ignite in a scintillating night of daring sex, and Romeo shows Evie what she’ll miss the rest of her life if she walks away again.

Evie lands a part as Romeo’s co-star and falls into her role, totally in love. He plays his part, too, with his romantic gestures and skillful lovemaking. But is the fantasy real or revenge? Evie and Romeo are about to discover if their buried feelings will explode in pure delight or utter disaster.

Taming Romeo is a contemporary romance featuring family secrets, delicious food, and hot, steamy loves scenes.

Due to mature content, recommended for readers aged 18+.

My Review:

I have read every single book that I can get my hands on by Rachelle Ayala and loved them. This one was no exception and was a lot stemier than I have ever read from her before. I have another book just waiting in the wings to be read by her and the review will be coming soon. There are authors that you are truly devoted to and will read anything by them and Rachelle is no exception to that. She falls right in my top authors list and I will never get tired of reading her works. Praise for the author is totally overshadowed these days as people read books and just judge away. Authors take time and write novels because they want us to experience something out of our normal realm and that is always how I feel when reading this author’s books. She teaches me things and makes me realize others that I would never have thought about before. I have read Broken Build, Knowing Vera, and Hidden Under Her Heart (all part of the Chance for Love series). Whole Latte Love is up next on my list and I can not wait to dive in!

Okay, now on to the juicy stuff. This book is NOT meant for the younger generation. There is some steam along the way that I would put a caution up for just adult eyes. Evie and Romeo have their times where they have to get through sme rough patches, but what couple doesn’t?  I loved that I got to learn about Pinoy culture through the family ties and how they stick together to get through even the worst of time. Ties are so thick that even at Evie’s age she follows her Dad’s rules. I am a couple years older and I have been on my own and living my own life for years. My parents have guided me but I have never felt like I had to do exactly what they said every single time. Maybe I should have?

I was not let down by the romance that became between Evie and Romeo and I am not one for spoilers so you will have to just read it and become addicted just like I was. I could not put it down and I will praise Rachelle once again for really knowing what a reader is looking for when they pick up a certain genre of book. She will have you laughing, crying, thinking, and just overall FEELING. If I could give this more than FIVE stars, I would. If you have not read this author, what are you waiting for?

I received this book to review through Beck Valley Books Book Tours, all the opinions above are 100% my own.
