 My Review:

When you find that author and that series that you just love to read and when you hear their name your heart skips a beat over their new book, you know it’s book love. Healed By Love is from the Love in Bloom series and is #13 of The Bradens. No fear though for any of you that have not read any of these books before, they can all be read as stand alones, but are even better read in order. Just my opinion. 

All of Melissa’s books are awesome romances that have just enough steam. Men that are sexy, women that are fierce and of course they always leave you wanting the next one. Meet Nate Braden. He is a 27 year old ex-soldier that has a love deep down for his best friend’s sister. Nate returns to Peaceful Harbor in Maryland where he will fulfill a promise to look after his family and at the same time figure out what he is going to be doing with his life. 

Now enter Jewel Fisher who works and helps her family out as much as she can at the age of 22. Jewel has lost both her father and her brother and so she has had to grow up quickly and take on protecting her family. The twist begins when the two run into each other after Jewel is in an accident. How will she feel when she finds out that it was Nate that gave the order that killed Rick? This is a new emotional story from Melissa  and I loved that she made all of the grief and flawed hiccups seem as raw as they would have been out of the story book pages.

My Review:

As you already know if you keep up with me and my reviews is that I love Melissa Foster. She has teamed up with Bella Andre for this new series, Love on Rockwell Island. Even though I had never heard of Bella Andrea before, I was so excited to be embarking on another series involving romance. I did some research on Bella Andre and found that she was also a romance guru. This was about to be awesome!

Shelley Walters comes to Rockwell Island so that she can get some relaxation with a vacation. She is from Maryland where she has a cafe. Even though her family is wealthy, Shelley is removed from them. The idea of a “solo honeymoon” was so cute. She ends up in Rockwell Resort. She has no plans to be interested in a man or even looking. She wants to relax and enjoy herself. Daringly, she goes skinny dipping one night. No one will see her, right? We are also introduced to Quinn Rockwell that has been called home along with his siblings by their grandfather. Quinn spots Shelley as he is taking a late night run on the beach while she is naked in the water. What are the chances?!

Quinn and Shelley together is just meant to happen. They are adorable and their romance is steamy. They both have their own thing going for them so neither needs to lean on the other but their circumstances are very different between family lives. Shelley is only supposed to be here for SEVEN days, but she is falling. Is she going to end up staying? And are you wondering why Quinn was even called home in the first place? Pick up the book and get as engrossed as I did. Thank goodness this is the start of a series or I would be so sad!

My Review:

As I sat down to write this review, I had everything that I wanted to say planned out. Then I started thinking, and all of it sounded like things that I had said before. Melissa is amazing and knows how to captivate an audience. I’ve said that before, but there are very few other authors that have written this many books in a series or ever for that matter and that still have me caught up in the story like it’s my first time reading something that they wrote. Favorite authors are something that are of differing opinions to everyone, but for me, Melissa Foster is right up there with the greats. Catching Cassidy was amazing. The way that the Harborside was described was as if I had been there or was going to go there one day. It sounds like such a place that I would want to call home. I used to live in a beach area and so this just took me back to when I could say that I didn’t vacation there, I lived there.

Each and every character that Melissa writes about or introduces to her readers is one that becomes your new favorite. She does not make it so that the secondary characters fall to the wayside either. They all have their story and their background of what got them where they are. You will always want to know more and what is going to happen next. It’s that draw that sucks you in and has other people around you wondering if you are ever going to come out of the book back into reality. I don’ want to sometimes, honestly. Wyatt and Cassidy are the type of characters that make me just want to jump and shout at a book. They had known each other for what was forever in their lifetimes, but why ruin a good friendship with something more? It’s a question a lot of people have to ask when they cross that boundary between friendship and wanting to be more for each other.

Even though things happen in the novel to both Wyatt and Cassidy to slowly make them unravel, they are there for each other. Period. I love that. The feelings had probably been there all along but they just needed that push to make them surface. They can’t hide what is happening to them, but their fear makes them drag their feet. I kept screaming in my mind that they were great together and they just needed to get over that hump. I was so happy when they finally made that leap. I was excited for them and where this would take them. This is the beginning of yet another great series by Melissa entangled within the rest, and I can not wait to see where it takes us.

My Review:

This is my third book that I have read by Kim Cano. Every one of the books that I have read have made me bond with the characters through getting to know them so intimately. This particular novel is about coming of age and all of the love, laughter, sadness and heartache that can come along with it. Lou and Jeannie are two sisters that have had to deal with a lot in their life. They have stated that they do not want to be like their Aunt Violet so they vow not to live longer than 80. Their friendships and bond grow as they go through college and think about what their future will hold. This vow to not live longer than 80 seems like it would be a hard promise to keep.

You need love, a strong bond and lots of compassion to get through things in life. Surrounding yourself with people like his is important. I also love time period pieces and this one spanned from the 1960s to forty years later. Kim did a great job in making Lou’s life one hat I felt like I was a part of and I can relate because I have a younger sister. Lou was always there for Jeannie when she needed her. This story is beautifully told about a sisterly bond and what love can look like. It doesn’t always come in the same form all the time. It can be between friends or family that you find this bond. Love is a funny thing sometimes. It can tire you out or lift you up depending on the situation.

This story will resonate in your heart and mind after you read it. Emotions will be running wild, but it will be worth every single page turn!

My Review:

As I have said on my other reviews for the books in this series, I am absolutely in love! I am a huge Alex Cross fan by James Patterson. I never in my wildest dreams thought that I would find anything that would compare to the suspense and feelings that I got from those books, but John Mefford has stolen my heart.

Booker is now working on a case that involves JFK assassination memorabilia. He then gets offered the case of a murder. The person murdered is very well known and when a SECOND murder occurs is when Booker uses his wit and smarts to connect the two of them. Enter Maggie Calero, a private investigator. There will be no more victims on Booker’s watch. He always is so swift with his cases and manages to have a life outside of them. John Mefford makes Maggie super likeable and as an author he won my heart strings even more when he referenced Melissa Foster, another author addiction.

This book and the series are absolutely amazing and addicting. I am so happy that there are going to be six (and a half) novels in this series because I can’t get enough!

My Review:

The paradise series is absolutely a guilty pleasure of mine. I have been lucky enough that Deborah Brown has my collection almost complete in paperback form. Seeing this just makes me feel giddy. The series takes place in Florida. Madison and Fab keep me on my toes as always. If you are looking for a fun read the Paradise series is perfect for that! You will definitely want to read all of the books in order so that you can really get engulfed in the lives of the characters. If you have Kindle Unlimited, the good news is that the books are free for you. So in paradise so far it has been crazy, deceitful, troubling, murderous and greedy. Revenge sounds just like what the doctor ordered!
Revenge in Paradise does not let you down as some series that get drawn out into multiple books can sometimes do. Madison and Fab are so fun to follow as they go on their adventures and always somehow manage to come out on top. The Cottages that Madison inherited seem to attract all the wrong kinds of people (criminals you know!). This duo makes anything and everything that they do a mystery and of course they make it fun. I am so glad to know that paradise is about to have a kidnapping. Book 7 in the series, Kidnapped In Paradise, will I’m sure delight and entertain me just as much as the other six have done. In Revenge In Paradise, it’s not just one major revenge plot but multiple! The plot and story is always thickening, and I simply can’t wait for more.

I chose a creation for my mother that is truly beautiful!

Even though you can only see two of the birthstones in this picture, there are indeed THREE. One for each of my children that my mother holds so dear. I have always seen necklaces that symbolize this type of charm, but never a bracelet. The design is simple but classic. Each of the crystals that you see here are swarovski crystals.

The bracelet is super light in weight and so this bracelet can be worn for any occasion, even every day if they choose! When I was given the chance to review Wise Owl Organics: African Shea Butter, I was more than excited! There has been so much talk about Shea butter and of course I have been wanting to try it out. I have used Cocoa Butter a lot in the past. This review will feature what exactly you can expect when using African Shea Butter and will answer all of the questions that are now swirling in your head about this product.

I want to first note that the East African Shea Butter that I received from Wise Owl Organics is totally organic.

Shea butter comes from the oils that the seeds of the Shea tree produce. These trees are readily found in Eastern and Western Africa. I was glad to find out that Wise Owl Organics makes sure that they obtain their product through Certified Fair Trade. The women of Uganda are helped and the Shea Butter is NEVER tested on animals (and doesn’t contain any animal products!).

The process is simple. The nut of the African Shea tree is crushed, boiled, and stirred in order to get the rich Shea butter.

Then, you will apply a thin layer of the Shea butter. Use a sponge because the oils on our hands will just put more oils back on your face. Can Shea butter be used as an anti-aging tool? Absolutely! Shea butter moisturizes and can help reduce the look of fine lines and wrinkles. Shea butter also protects the skin from sun damage (this is not to say it prevents skin cancer!), and the vitamins will bring your skin new life.

This Shea Butter is awesome, first off. My skin is definitely confused by whether it is oily, non-oily, moisturized too little or moisturized too much. I thought that I was just using the wrong types of products, but I found out that all products have a purpose. My biggest problem was always with my legs after I shaved. I had tried shaving gels, but they just were not cutting it. I would still end up with those crazy red bumps that made me just want to cover my legs anyway like I never shaved in the first place. Like I said earlier, I have used cocoa butters and they have not really given me the results that I was looking for! I am so grateful that Amy came to me with wanting to do this review so that I can share this amazing product with all of my readers.

I also love that this product is natural and organic. The moisture that you feel from it is rich but it doesn’t weigh your skin or even your hair down. I have always been an advocate for hair masks to condition my hair and bring it back to life. I never would have thought that using a butter would work even more wonders. This is a great all-purpose product no matter what part of you that you are trying to revitalize and make feel awesome again. Because it has so many different uses the cost at a great bargain as well. The scent of the Wise Owl Organics Shea Butter was also not harsh at all like some other products that I have tried before to bring my skin relief.

This product gets a standing ovation, 5 stars, whatever other award that there is for just being AMAZING! I will be recommending it to everyone and anyone that voices that they have any concerns with dry skin, fine lines, cracked feet, chapped lips and damaged hair. It’s amazing to say that one product can help all of these!
