The Dyson Digital Slim™ is powered by the Dyson digital motor, the vacuum has anti-static carbon fiber brushes to improve fine dust pick-up from hard floors.

Carbon fiber has anti-static properties and the brushes on the Digital Slim reduce the build-up of static charges while attracting fine dust for improved pick up. The brush bar also has stiff nylon brushes to pick up ground-in dirt from carpets.

Dyson’s digital motors are the fastest, highest power density motors ever developed for domestic appliances.

The Dyson digital motor is small, light and energy efficient. Spinning a neodymium magnet at up to 104,000rpm, it is self-regulating to optimize efficiency. An internal microprocessor makes up to 3,300 adjustments each second to control its speed to monitor and self-adapt to vacuum airflow. 

Root Cyclone™ technology

Other cordless vacuums can lose up to half their suction power in use. Batteries fade, reducing power and their filters clog with dust, blocking the airflow. With up to 15 minutes of constant power (13 minutes with floor tool attached), the Dyson Digital Slim™ picks up more than other cordless stick vacuums.

Dyson’s patented Root Cyclone™ technology – condensed to fit into the machine – spins dust and dirt out of the air using centrifugal force, so there’s no loss of suction.

Dual-power mode
A dual power mode allows up to 15 minutes of constant suction. For stubborn dirt, a button can trigger 6 minutes of higher suction. 

Detachable, long-reach wand
A 26 inches long, lightweight aluminum wand attaches directly to the machine to convert it from handheld to slim vacuum cleaner.

Lithium-ion technology

Using only a 22.2V lithium-ion battery pack, the machine releases its charge evenly so there is no drop in performance.  It takes just 3.5 hours to fully charge the machine, up to three times faster than other cordless vacuums. A full charge gives up to 15 minutes of power, depending on cleaning mode.

Docking station and remote charging

The Dyson Digital Slim™ vacuum cleaner can be recharged in the docking station or remotely by removing the battery from the machine. Once the machine is fully charged it no longer draws electricity.

Notes:

·         Static and cleaning – Hard floors are particularly susceptible to static, which can be generated when conventional brush bars spin at high speed in contact with them. This causes fine dust to stick to hard floors – the same way rubbing a balloon on heads makes hair stand up on end – making it difficult to suck up.

·         Carbon fiber – Carbon fiber is a strong, durable, lightweight and conductive material. The material reduces the build -up of static and helps to remove fine dust which is stuck to hard floors. Carbon fiber has many uses including: helicopter tails, fishing rods and golf clubs.  It also has anti-static properties so it can also be used to protect sensitive electrical components from static damage during the assembly of computers.

·         Guarantee – The machine comes with a two year parts and labor guarantee.

·         Patents – There are 225 pending patents relating to technology used in Dyson cordless vacuum cleaners. 

·         Energy Star Rating – The machine’s battery charger has qualified for the Energy Star rating, due to its energy efficiency. 

·         Testing – The machine has been tested for over 200 hours by mechanical rigs and real people – dropping it, bashing it and generally abusing it.

HomeRight SteamMachine Plus Review

I recieved products to help facilitate my review, but all thoughts are my own.

The SteamMachine Plus Multi-Purpose Steam Mop from HomeRight is perfect to clean up those every day messes that can be caused by your little ones. I have a six year old and two year old that cause tons of messes on my floor. There is no telling what kind of germs and bacteria could be lurking. My husband also works outside for a living laying pipe, so he is constantly dragging dirt into the house. I may feel like I am getting it up with my broom, but in all reality I am leaving a lot behind. I absolutely adored that this steam machine was chemical free because of the little hands in my household. My daughter gets into EVERYTHING and puts it on the floor. For the SteamMachine Plus to be used without chemicals is a miracle for this mama of three.

 

My husband loves anything that he can consider a “gadget” and so he took the mop for the first test run. He loved how quickly the mop heated up and he was able to start cleaning. Yes ladies, I did say that my husband enjoyed cleaning. That’s how simple this mop is to use! The mop also features a detachable hand-held steamer. Even better, there are SIX attachments that will help in cleaning your stovetops, oven, grills, countertops and your bathroom.

For the breakdown on what exactly goes on with this steam machine is that it gets to 205 degrees which will kill 99.9% of germs and bacteria that may be lurking. This includes e-coli, salmonella, and staph. The triangular head on the mop makes for easy access to those corners that a traditional mop may miss!

For those of you that are low on space, be reassured that the handle folds down so that you can store the SteamMachine Plus with ease. You can use the SteamMachine Plus to clean and disinfect your hard floor surfaces; such as laminate, hardwood, tile, stone, vinyl and linoleum.

I received both the Fresh Linen scent and Fragrance Free for review and I love them both. It is so easy to use. There is no more measuring. No more powder. No more liquid. It is simple. Just toss a strip into the wash (more than one if the load is soiled) and load it on up. You would be shocked how well these strips get even the dirtiest clothing clean.
